♻️ Zupods E-Waste Management Policy

At Zupods, we recognize our responsibility towards environmental sustainability and are committed to the responsible management of electronic waste (e-waste). In alignment with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 , we have established a structured approach to ensure the safe disposal and recycling of our products.

🔄 Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

As a producer of electronic equipment, Zupods adheres to the principles of Extended Producer Responsibility. This entails:

  • Collection and Recycling: Ensuring that e-waste generated from our products is collected and recycled through authorized channels.

  • Recycling Targets: Meeting the mandated recycling targets, which are set at 60% for the year 2023-2024 and will increase to 80% by 2027-2028 

  • Authorized Recyclers: Collaborating exclusively with recyclers authorized by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) to ensure environmentally sound disposal practices.

🏢 Collection Mechanism

To facilitate the proper disposal of end-of-life Zupods products, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Take-Back Program: Customers can return their used Zupods products to our store or designated collection points.

  • Doorstep Collection: For bulk consumers or special cases, we offer doorstep collection services upon request

  • Awareness Initiatives: We conduct regular awareness programs to educate our customers about the importance of e-waste management and the procedures for safe disposal.

✅ Do’s and ❌ Don’ts for E-Waste Disposal

Do’s:

  • ✔️ Return end-of-life Zupods products to authorized collection centers or our store.

  • ✔️ Ensure batteries are removed and any glass surfaces are protected before disposal.

  • ✔️ Seek information on proper disposal methods provided in the product manual or our website.

Don’ts:

  • ❌ Do not dispose of electronic products in regular garbage bins.

  • ❌ Do not dismantle products yourself, as improper handling can be hazardous.

  • ❌ Avoid selling e-waste to unauthorized scrap dealers or informal sectors.
